Black ink – Digitally coloured
Here, I use an ink brush pen as a means to highlight the imperfections of nature’s textures and patterns. The variety of line achieved through the ink and its relationship with different paper stock, brings the black and white drawings to life whilst representing their disappearance through the meandering, vanishing ink lines and trails. This recent work is part of a complete A-Z of endangered species, drawn as representational studies with signature negative spaces. I have digitally enhanced and coloured 9 of them for sale as Gicleé prints, the other drawings can be found below.
